The employees were helpful and the room and the hotel was very clean. The location was perfect for my needs.
But I would not consider this a 4 star hotel by any means. Would be nice if there were english speaking channels, availability to purchase tickets for tours. Equipt the room with more hangers and an iron, even a coffee machine would be nice. What about a directory of local places to eat and shop so you can plan your day. Found the rooms to be a little small and a lot of street noise.
Nothing except the staff were helpful and it was near to the old city and The Turia gardens.
Dreadful noise of traffic from 4 lane highway was very obvious from hotel's situation.I requested a quieter room and -beware anyone else who does this-was sent to a windowless back room which was equipped for disabled people and had a horrid black roller blind full length on one internal wall which when raised revealed a very eerie air conditioning patio luce with huge pipes rising through the hotel. This was supposed to give some light to the room but was horrible. Also noise from behind this window of air con really loud and the TV could only recieve 1 english programme- Sky news but only worked intermitently .
location was perfect for our trip. And room size was pretty good for the price and the fact it was small and not like all standard hotels was nice. shower was great too!
the aircondition seemed only to work for a small period of time at night which was a bit annoying if having an afternoon siesta, walls were quite thin, staff though helpful didnt know what was happening in town so when told shops would be open - due to a public holiday all the main shops were actually shut so investigate for yourself but these are small things overall still had a lovely time
The room was comfortable, the staff competent and helpful. The location was within easy reach of the old city. Plenty of hot water.
There was no information about the hotel or facilities in the room, nothing on how to work the television, how to book an early morning call, the restaurant next door, breakfast times etc. Our room overlooked the road, so was noisy at times.
interesting modern design with a few little quirks, close to old town and taxi rank, spacious comfortable rooms, good free wifi.
rooftop pool not in use (stayed in may 2011) and terrace looks abandoned. if walking from main station, you have to walk across the diameter of the old town to get there (maybe half an hour with luggage) so consider a taxi.
The location is very central and can walk to old town with ease. It is not near the beach so if you want to be near the beach this hotel is not for you. Would not rate it 4 star but comfortable 3 star. Breakfast disappointing but it is an inexpensive hotel so did not expect a lot of choice for breakfast. Staff excellent and very helpful
The hotel have a good location but is very loud on s big street.
My stay at the Acta was very good, very helpfull staff and the location was excellent. I have combinded business with a plesure stay at the Acta. As suprise also Dutch speaking staff.
Getting out and about and walking along the Turia river bed, also ease of travel on the buses
good value for money in a great location. breakfast was great and staff helpful. room clean and fairly quiet of an evening even in such a great cental location. plumbing a little dodgy but it was the old part of town so quite understandable.
Nice design (though I would like to see in such a place retro style cause of surrounding arquitecture), french windows, jacuzzy on the roof, free internet in the room, close to historical center (to get there better go to Serrano towers and farther, than turm to the right to Calle de Navellos - another way you can get to Carmen barrio looking like ghetto, but full of amazing graffity art)
Taking shower you flowing water to the floor between 2 glass doors.
It is really close to the historical centre and to the metro station.
very very good hotel!!! very clean, cormfortable, good shower, small stylish room numbers. Internet works well. Perfect location for visiting historical center of the city. I would recomend to everybody! P.S. perfect view of the city from the roof
there is nothing that I didn't like but something that should be mantioned. On the photo there is not a swimming pool on the roof, but rather djakuzi.
excellent location near to all that valencia has to offer hotel rooms very clean and staff very friendly would return to this hotel
no hot breakfast avaliable
The location was very good for getting to the old part of the town, and the metro which takes you directly to the beach is less than ten minutes walk.. Staff were friendly. The room, though small, was thoughtfully designed with a large bed, good storage space and an a great bathroom with power shower.
Rooms at the front of the hotel overlook a very busy road which is not good if you are a light sleeper. I would recommend requesting a room at the rear of the hotel if this is the case. I was disappointed by the rooftop terrace and spa. The spa was dirty and the terrace was populated only by a dead pigeon. Given the weather and the location this is a real waste.
